Dan Beachy-Quick is a poet and essayist, author of eight collections of poetry, including books on John Keats and Herman Melville. His most recent books include Wind--Mountain--Oak, a translation of Sappho from Milkweed Editions, and Variations on Dawn and Dusk (Omnidawn Publishing), which was longlisted for the 2019 National Book Award in Poetry. He has been a Monfort Professor at Colorado State University, and is a Guggenheim Fellow. He currently serves as assistant chair of the English department.
