July 2006: Lauren Guza has won the 2006 Nelligan Prize for Short Fiction with her story "Running with the Kenyans." Michael Martone was the final judge. The story will be published in the fall 2006 issue of Colorado Review.

May 2006: Jaswinder Bolina has won the 2006 Colorado Prize for Poetry for his collection Carrier Wave. The final judge was Lyn Hejinian. Bolina's book will be published by the Center for Literary Publishing in November 2006 and distributed by the University Press of Colorado.

February 2006: "Man in the Moon," an essay by Bill Capossere first published in the fall/winter 2005 issue of Colorado Review, was reprinted in the February 2006 issue of Harper's Magazine.

July 2005: Dylan Landis
won the 2005 Nelligan Prize for Short Fiction with her story "Delacroix," which appears in the fall 2005 issue of Colorado Review. The final judge was Judy Doenges.

April 2005: Karen Garthe won the 2005 Colorado Prize for Poetry for her collection Frayed escort. The final judge was Cal Bedient. Garthe’s book was published by the Center for Literary Publishing in November 2005 and is distributed by the University Press of Colorado.

July 2004: Emily Bloch has won the 2004 Nelligan Prize for Short Fiction with her story "The Elevator Version," which will appear in the fall 2004 issue of Colorado Review. The final judge was Emily Hammond.

April 2004: We are very pleased to announce that the 2004 Colorado Prize for Poetry winner is Rusty Morrison for her manuscript Whethering (the climate: conditional). The judge was Forrest Gander. Morrison’s book will be published by the Center for Literary Publishing in November 2004 and distributed by the University Press of Colorado.

March 2004: Colorado Review wishes to congratulate Michele Glazer on winning the Iowa Poetry Prize with her book Aggregate of Disturbances; appearing in this new book are poems originally published in Colorado Review (Fall 2002 & Spring 2004).

February 2004: Arts Alive Fort Collins has generously granted Colorado Review $1,000 for general operating costs.

January 2004: Colorado Review is very pleased to announce that it is the recipient of a 2004 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. CR received $8,000 to support publication of its spring and fall issues.
